
There are no filing fees associated with these three offices
VANCOUVER – At the close of the regular candidate filing period on Friday, May 9, 2025, Clark County election officials had not received candidate filings for three elected offices: Town of Yacolt, Councilor, Position 5; Hockinson School District, Director, District 1; and East County Fire & Rescue District, Commissioner, Position 2.
Pursuant to Washington state law, a special three-day filing period must be held for these offices. There are no filing fees associated with these three offices. All candidates who file during this period will appear on the general election ballot.
The Auditor’s Office has scheduled the special filing period to begin at 8 am Tuesday, Aug. 5, and end at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025. Any voter residing within these districts is qualified to file. Anyone wishing to file can do so online at clarkvotes.org. Online filing hours are 8 am Tuesday, Aug. 5, to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025.
Candidates may also file at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver. If needed, a lot drawing to determine the candidate order on the ballot will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025.
