Woodland Father/Daughter Ball attracts 1,200 guests

Saturday’s event held at Woodland High School with ‘Evening in Paris’ theme

WOODLAND — Woodland’s 14th annual Father/Daughter Ball was held Saturday at Woodland High School. This year’s event had a formal “Evening in Paris’’ theme.

Attendees ranged in age from girls as young as 3 weeks old to fathers as old as 83 who danced with their daughters in front of a background of Eiffel Towers and other French-themed decorations.

In order to make room for more attendees, two events were offered this year with about 500 guests in attendance at the early (3-5 p.m.) ball and 700 onsite for the evening (7-9 p.m.) ball. Each event was hosted by 60 volunteers.

The Father/Daughter Ball is a nonprofit community service event hosted each year by Grace Community Church.
