VANCOUVER — Learn why you should invest time in developing a business plan at Washington State University Vancouver’s next Business Growth MAP Alliance forum. The event will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. March 18 at the Columbia Bank Community Room, 101 E. Sixth St., Vancouver.

If you want your business to last, developing a strategy is a must. Business professional Rick Holt says businesses that fail to prepare often do not realize they are preparing to fail. He will share with you how a thoughtful, intentional business plan can move your business forward.

Holt has guided revenue generation and developed leadership teams to successfully address growth, profitability and other tough management challenges for more than 20 years. His background includes executive-level positions at Nextel and E*Trade, and management positions with US West in Washington, Nebraska and Oregon.

The Business Growth MAP Alliance forum is open to all. Register online by visiting business.vancouver.wsu.edu/bgmap and clicking “Upcoming events.” Cost is $10. There is no cost for WSU students with a valid student ID.

The Business Growth MAP Alliance forum is a monthly production of the Carson College of Business at WSU Vancouver that brings together small businesses and entrepreneurs to learn from each other, industry experts and WSU Vancouver faculty.
