“New this year is our Young Contractor Forum,” mentioned Sherrie Jones, executive director of the SWCA. “This is a great opportunity for high schoolers to attend an afternoon panel featuring early career professionals and seasoned contractors – the high schoolers can learn firsthand about how the panel got started in their careers as well as ask questions about their own paths.”  The panel will feature Matt Olson of Robertson & Olson Construction, Tonicha Farrell of Cadman Materials, Inc, Trinity Seger of North Woods Construction Company and Jeffrey Shaffer of Shaffer Excavating.  The panel will be moderated by Mark Wreath, the CTE Director of Vancouver Public Schools. Students who wish to attend the Young Contractor Forum should register prior to the event. This panel takes place in the afternoon – more details available upon registration.

The Construction Executive Summit is an all-day event including breakfast, lunch and refreshments.  For more information and to register, see the website www.swca.org/summit.  Registration for the Summit and the Young Contractor Forum can be accessed from that website.  If there are any questions, contact Ellen Rogers, manager of Branding and Education Programs at SWCA at (360) 694-7922.
