A salute to the military, donuts, rodeo, and a K-9 demonstration are just some of the highlights of the day at the Clark County Fair on Tuesday

Tuesday will be Military Appreciation Day at the Clark County Fair.

Tickets at the gate are $8 for military. (The website does not specifically say veterans, but it’s a good guess that veterans would receive the discount, too.)

Bull Riding took over the grandstand arena on Monday, and on Tuesday, all the cowboys and cowgirls will get a shot in the arena with the Hell on Hooves Roughstock Rodeo at 7 p.m.

You might not be able to ride a bronc for eight seconds, but how fast can you eat a donut? Or five? Try your luck at the donut eating contest at 12:30 p.m.

Of course, there are the other staples of the fair. Rides. Food. Vendors. Acts throughout the day on the community stage. Oh, and so many animals to see, too.

A friendly reminder that the fair opens at 10 a.m., but the carnival, with its thrill rides and family fun rides, does not open until noon.

Magician Adam the Great will have three shows on the Family Fun Stage, 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.

DogTown will have events throughout the day on Tuesday.

Want to see more dogs? How about dogs that serve the community? The Clark County Sheriff’s Department will host a K-9 demonstration at 5:30 p.m. at the Family Fun Stage.

Plus the Pirate’s Parrot show is daily. And, of course, Barnyard Races.

Mars Encounters, the featured exhibit for families, is open all day, but also has three live shows throughout the day: 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
