Income tax repeal heads to voters
Washington voters will decide in November whether to repeal the state’s new income tax measure after the Secretary of State certified Initiative 26-645 for the ballot. Let’s Go Washington submitted more than 511,000 signatures, well above the roughly 309,000 valid signatures needed. Supporters say the initiative would protect families and small businesses, while opponents warn its passage could affect programs funded by the tax.
