No provision of Federal Law Requires state or local law enforcement to assist with Federal Immigration Enforcement, including by honoring administrative warrents aubbnitted by ICE, The US COnstitution limits the Federal Governments ability to mandate particular actions.. . .

In reply to Kathleen McKinley. Local authorities have a responsibility not to attempt to obstruct Federal Law Enforcement as they do their jobs. Keep in mind that Federal Law has supremacy over any lesser jurisdiction as defined by the Constitution of the United States. United States Marshals work directly for the Attorney General of the United States, and she outranks every Mayor and County Sheriff in the Country. Local officials obstruct them at their own peril.

Federal Immigration Laws are the law of the land which secures our sovereignty as a nation. States like us rule by Democrat governors who declare us to by “sanctuary states” AND accept federal moneys, are foolish. The illegal aliens are committing crimes here which, at time, endanger our citizens. Joe Biden is responsible for this “invasion” of aliens and now that President Trump has pledged to deport these aliens, Democrat governors still want to resist. The warning by federal law enforcement that local officials that resist ICE or CBP from arresting these aliens, will face arrest themselves for obstruction federal officers. This is right. I hope that our Sheriff John Horch will fully cooperate with federal agents arresting aliens.

As the mayor of vancouver, I will make this a priority to assist in getting out known criminals. I will work with Clark County and the VPD. My focus will be to not target individual families, but we will take a much firmer stance on law and order.
