The whole light rail thing is a boondoggle. It will cost the taxpayers and toll payers forever and benefit few. Of course Those harebrained buffoons who think we’ll be giving up our cars any day now will cheer.

First of all, I’m against the light rail across the bridge. We need 4 lanes on the bridge …not 3 lanes plus a light rail. It’s too expensive and we will not get any reasonable return for the investment. Riders are going to flock to that stop when the Vancouver Waterfront is still many blocks away? Really? Secondly. Having the light rail end just over the bridge doesn’t make sense either. Light rail should be at a reasonable destination to which people would want to travel or connect with. Riders are going to come across just to go to Vancouver’s library ? Really ?? The present plan offers no one anything. Cut out the billions of dollars of waste and build a bridge that the coast guard can approve. We already have a bus system.

None of the above. Please include a response for NO LIGHT RAIL! It is unethical to replace a working bus system for an astonomically more expensive light rail system. Extremetly low ridership on the Single bus route #60 that light rail is slated to replace does NOT justify the high cost for very few riders. The ridership of public bus trips/boardings across I-5 Bridge is approx half of what it was stated to be by CRC in 2006!
Why spend $ BILLIONS for fixed track light rail, an elevated light rail station about 80-90ft high that 99.9% of Clark County residents would NEVER use? Too many shootings, stabbings, assaults, rapes in OR MAX light rail trains or at/near MAX light rail stations.

Light Rail is an astronomically costly, less efficient method for transportation to Oregon that is already better served and faster by buss at a small fraction of the cost.

Even as a “Tourist Train” it is so expensive tourists would never pay even 20% of what the real fare should be.

NO LIGHT RAIL. Let the oregon light rail fraud stop at the border in the center of the river. There should be multiple basic bridges across the river. You could replace the I-5 bridge after you have 4 or 5 basic additional bridges. Go to portland and count the number of people who actually use light rail. It costs millions of dollars for that fraud. Buy a bus. The clueless mayor of portland is so broke he is demanding neighboring counties give him millions of dollars. Yet they still want to spend billons of dollars on a bridge with the useless light rail. Stop Voting for Stupid People.
