Vancouver Police make arrest in weekend shooting incident

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Keith Williams

VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Police Department has arrested a Vancouver man in connection to a shooting event that took place Saturday (July 25).

At 3:38 a.m. Saturday, Vancouver Police responded to an assault with a weapon call in the 4900 block of East 18th Street, involving a suspect who fired multiple rounds from a firearm into a vehicle occupied by four individuals.  The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Keith Williams, of Vancouver. One of the victims was physically assaulted by Williams prior to the shooting but none were injured as a result of gunfire.

On Wednesday afternoon, Vancouver Police located Williams in the 11700 block of Mill Plain and he was taken into custody without incident. 

Williams was booked into the Clark County Jail for:

  • 4 counts of Assault I with a firearm
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm II
  • A felony warrant issued by the Washington State Department of Corrections for Escape Community Custody.
