“Impossible to do anything these days without identification”?
Try going into the Clark County Elections Office during an election, for a signature no-match. You can update your signature, and you will NOT be required to show ID.

And please don’t get me wrong, I think anyone who doesn’t have an ID will be helped by the program described in this article. And I think that is a good thing! But I also think that ignoring the voter ID problem is hypocritical. And by ignoring voter ID, our county/state is inviting voter fraud potential.

I have worked as a certified election observer, and I sit and watch signature verification. Sometimes up to 10% of signatures in my shift look pretty sketchy. Some get flagged. Some don’t. Some have previously been “cured,” and that curing process DOES NOT involve showing an ID. I can’t even count the number of times I have watched a signature verifier struggle with a signature and thought to myself how easy this would be if the voter walked in and showed their ID, then went and pulled the lever. Lack of voter ID in WA is a HUGE problem.

Wow. Homeless and 'refuses' to work? There is so much more involved when someone doesn't have a stable place to live- are you aware many of these people do work? Sometimes more then one job? And for those that don't, imagine trying to go to a job interview when you don't have an address to put down on an application. Neither one of you seem to understand or have any sort of compassion for the complexity that is unhoused people

You have to look past the surface and see what this is really about. In Washington, when you get an ID, you are automatically registered to vote. This is a ploy to get more D voters. Handouts...Handouts...Handouts!!! Then they are happy to vote D. D's don't care about the homeless, or them being able to improve their situation. Just pay them off with tax money handouts, so they vote correctly in the next election.

I am not a fan of coddling the homeless. Doing so only encourages more influx of more homeless from Portland and other places. Show me a homeless person and we will be looking at a person that refuses to work and who resents any suggestion of them doing anything productive for the alms they receive. Take care. God bless!
