CLARK COUNTY — In 2018, the Clark County Council ruled in favor of expanding Yacolt Mountain Quarry per the Surface Mining Overlay. Old disputes resurfaced in a new light.

In chapter two of Clark County Today’s documentary series, “Rocky Mountain,” you will hear about the more recent issues surrounding the mining operation, and how some have played out since. 

You will also get a glimpse of where the situation is headed, with the involvement of the county and the regional Contractors Association, as well as the neighbors.
