🎧 Nighttime I-5 Lane Closures Hit Vancouver Aug. 4-5
Beginning Tuesday, WSDOT maintenance crews will repair pavement along a 2-mile section of southbound I-5 between the State Route 502 and Northeast 179th Street interchanges in Vancouver
VANCOUVER – Travelers who use Interstate 5 in Clark County should expect nighttime delays.
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 4, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will repair pavement along a 2-mile section of southbound I-5 between the State Route 502 and Northeast 179th Street interchanges in Vancouver.
Crews will remove the top layer of worn, damaged asphalt and replace it with new pavement to smooth the driving surface, extend the life of the highway and reduce more costly repairs in the future.
What to expect
10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6:
- The right lane of southbound I-5 will close each night between SR 502 and Northeast 179th Street interchanges (mileposts 11.0 to 9.5).
- The off-ramp from southbound I-5 to Exit 9 for Northeast 179th Street will also close.
For everyone’s safety, slow down, stay alert and follow signs through the work zone. This work depends on warm, dry weather and may be rescheduled if needed.
