🎧 Clark County Jail Inmate Dies After July 23 Incident
Curran Ellis Fine was found unresponsive in his jail cell on July 23 and died at an area hospital on July 29
VANCOUVER – On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at approximately 10:14 p.m., Curran Ellis Fine, an inmate at the Clark County Jail was found unresponsive in his jail cell.
After receiving emergency lifesaving efforts by corrections staff, jail medical and responding emergency responders, Fine was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he later died on the morning of Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Clark County Jail Services will complete an unexpected fatality review as required per RCW 72.09.770. The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the cause and manner of death at a later time.
