It’s sad that a county’s leadership feels the need to speak to federal law enforcement actions. But that’s what elected officials of US states, counties and cities feel morally compelled to do. And doing so does nothing to negate respect and support for local and state law enforcement.

Armed masked men patently violating the Fourth Amendment, false arrests of US citizens (including small children) as well as those from other countries who are legitimately residing here, shooting a downed US citizen in the back (4 times) because he was legally carrying (but not brandishing) a firearm; these and other offenses, sanctioned by our country’s highest law enforcement officials are enough to cause terror and fear in anyone slightly brown or black. Or whites who protest all of the above.

The concerns we are turning into a police state run by a dictator are real. So yeah, commissioners, yes counselors, say something. It may not be what everyone wants to hear, but say it.

Federal law trumps local law.

In a sane world, a county government would work on matters in their domain.
For example, federal government work to enforce extremely clear illegal immigration laws would be obviously not a county’s domain.
But not for petulant leftist who are driven NOT by discipline and process, but instead by agenda and unbounded emotions.
