Event will feature Scott Johnson, regional director, Clark Regional Emergency Support Agency (CRESA), Clark County Sheriff John Horch, and Anne O’Neill, CCRP state committeewoman

The Clark County Republican Women’s Club (CCRW) is holding its next dinner event on March 21st, featuring Scott Johnson, regional director of Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA). He will be speaking about emergency preparedness. His background in survival techniques and emergency response throughout the country lends tremendous knowledge to this critical topic. 

Preparing for natural disasters, extreme weather, or other disruptions is essential. Do you work in Oregon? If so, have you considered what to do in case of a natural disaster while you are on the other side of the river? Is your home prepared with enough food, alternative heat sources, and a water supply in case city water fails? What about having enough medications to maintain your health, security, communication, and power sources, among other emergency preparedness considerations? Scott will address preparedness techniques for each of these needs. 

Clark County Sheriff John Horch will also speak about emergency preparedness from the perspective of the top county law enforcement officer. Additionally, Anne O’Neill, CCRP state committeewoman, will discuss food and water security and suggest steps we can all take to prepare. 

The Executive Board of Clark County Republican Women invites CCRW Club members and residents of Clark County and neighboring Skamania and Cowlitz Counties to attend this meeting.

Advance registration is required and can be made at the CCRW website. The dinner meeting will be held at the Battle Ground Community Center on Thursday, March 21 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.. Seats will be limited so early registration is encouraged. 

CCRW is the largest federated Republican Women’s organization in Washington State. It has been recognized by the National Federation of Republican Women and the Washington Federation of Republican Women for its numerous achievements.
