Kelly never held “deputy county auditor” authorization for his entire career until, wait for it, the week after Kelly announced his bid for Auditor. Kimsey most likely cooked this up to manipulate voters in Kelly’s favor. The damage is done and the only fair remedy is for Mitchell to drop out.
