New date set for Surface Mining Advisory Committee meeting

Forum is part of a series of meetings regarding quarries in Clark County

VANCOUVER — Due to a scheduling conflict, the upcoming public meeting of the Surface Mining Advisory Committee has been rescheduled to 6-7:30 p.m., Tue., Feb. 25, in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. This forum is part of a series of meetings regarding quarries in Clark County.

The meeting is open to the public.

The purpose of this facilitated forum is to:

  • Review and discuss the proposed expansion of the existing Cadman Lewisville Sand and Gravel operation
  • Review compliance concerns for Livingston Mountain 

Forum structure

Attendees will include mining operation representatives, local residents and may include other interested parties and visiting agency representatives. The forum will be facilitated by Mitch Nickolds, Code Administration director. The forum will be staffed with Clark County employees representing:

  • Code Administration  
  • Public Works – Administration and Transportation
