Marijuana, Xanax caused teens to overdose in yard and driveway, sheriff’s office says

Clark County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate after teens are released from hospital

VANCOUVER — Four teens who overdosed Friday were under the influence of a combination of marijuana and Xanax, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The teens, three of whom were found unconscious in a yard and driveway near Northeast 79th Street and Northwest 147th Avenue in east Vancouver, have been released from the hospital, according to a press release.

“The Clark County Sheriff’s Office cautions the public on the dangers of mixing any drugs legal or illegal,” the release states. “The combinations can have life threatening effects. If you are under a doctor’s care please keep you prescription medication secure and away from unintended people. The investigation continues.”

Three of the teenagers were found unconscious in a driveway and yard, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. A fourth teenager was brought to a hospital by a parent or guardian hours later, according to a press release issued at 12:55 p.m. Friday.
