Lottery to select permits to sell fireworks to be held

Deadline for applications is Feb. 13 

VANCOUVER — The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office is taking applications for two retail fireworks permits to be assigned by lottery on Thu., Feb. 14.

Fireworks cannot be sold in Clark County without a permit.                          

Applications for the permit lottery can be obtained at the Fire Marshal’s Office, 505 NW 179th St., Ridgefield or on the county website at www.clark.wa.gov/fireworks. Only one completed application may be entered per person or organization. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

All lottery permit applications must be received at the Fire Marshal’s Office no later than 5 p.m., Wed., Feb. 13, 2016, regardless of how they are submitted.

Applications may delivered or mailed to the Fire Marshal’s Office, 505 NW 179th St., Ridgefield or emailed to firemar@clark.wa.gov.  Applications postmarked on Feb. 13 will not qualify if received after the 5 p.m. deadline.

Applicants chosen by lottery will be contacted immediately.
