Furry Friends volunteers donate 20,344 hours of their time

Nonprofit organization grateful for the compassion and generosity of its more than 150 volunteers

There are not enough words to describe how amazed and grateful Furry Friends is for the dedication, compassion and generosity of the over 150 individuals who have given over 20,344 hours of their time to Furry Friends for the year 2020.

Furry Friends would not be possible without the donation of funds, talent and time from you who have seen the plight of the cats and kittens in our care.  The organization’s dedicated and compassionate volunteers have decided to not only “talk the talk” but also “walk the walk” and give of themselves in a most precious way, by giving their time and talents.

Furry Friends would not exist without the support of its volunteers. Without their help, it would not have been able to save the over 3,300 cats and kittens taken in since 1999. Without our volunteers, none of the work we do would be possible.

The following volunteers have each given from 200 hours to 2,080 each for the year of 2020: Jaimie Garver, Diane Stevens, Jenn Hutchman, Julie and Malinda Goldbeck, Linda Rader, Lisa Baxter, Bob and Mara Sunshine, Marion Edwards and Mary Head.

Whether a person has given 20 hours for the year or 2,000 hours, it is all appreciated by the organization’s staff. Each person gives what they can manage for their lives. And the kitties are not the only ones to benefit from the time given; the kindness that the volunteers show to one another and those interested in the kitties has been so heartwarming to those involved in the effort.

“We truly have a loving, compassionate, caring group of volunteers. We will never be able to fully express our gratitude to them, but we want the world to know just how cherished these volunteers are,’’ read a statement from Furry Friends.
