Clark County treasurer to mail 2019 property tax statements on March 4

In the past, they were mailed out in mid-February

VANCOUVER — The Clark County Treasurer’s Office announced a planned delay in the release of property tax statements this year. In the past, they were mailed out in mid-February. This year, they are expected to be mailed on Mon., March 4.

Clark County is changing to a new financial system called Workday, which is causing the delayed release of this year’s property tax statements.

While 2019 tax information is currently available on the Clark County website, the Treasurer’s Office is encouraging people to pay after March 4.

“A financial system implementation is a huge undertaking, and the Treasurer’s Office is working hard to limit the impact on taxpayers. If residents have questions about their 2019 property taxes, my team is ready and available to assist,” said Treasurer Alishia Topper.

Taxpayers who have an escrow account will not receive a postcard notification this year. Their payments will not be affected by the delay.

First half property taxes are due Tue., April 30, 2019.

Payments can be mailed to Clark County Treasurer, PO Box 35150, Seattle, WA 98124-5150. Payments also can be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office on the second floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Other payment options are online at www.clark.wa.gov/treasurer or by phone at (877) 778-4606. Paying from a checking or savings account costs $1 per transaction. Credit card payments carry a third party vendor charge of 2.39 percent.

Before mailing delinquent taxes or assessments, check www.clark.wa.gov/treasurer or call the Treasurer’s Office at (564) 397-2252 to determine the correct payment amount.

Seniors 61 years of age or persons with disabilities may qualify for a property tax exemption. Call the Clark County Assessor’s Office at (564) 397-2391 for more information.
