Cinco de Mayo DUI patrols result in three arrests in Clark County

Officers make contact with 69 drivers during emphasis patrols

The Vancouver Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office contacted a total of 69 drivers as part of a Cinco de Mayo patrol emphasis focused on getting intoxicated motorists off the road.

Three of those individuals were arrested for driving under the influence.

 

In addition to the arrests, 20 citations were issued for other infractions and 28 warnings were given, according to a press release from the Vancouver Police Department.

Funding for overtime used in the patrols was provided through a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
