Share Vancouver to host community webinar to celebrate volunteers

Virtual event will raise awareness of food drive and volunteerism

VANCOUVER — On June 2, Share Vancouver will host its annual meeting event where the organization celebrates volunteers and shows its appreciation to the community. This year, due to the pandemic, the gathering will be virtual, but still open to anyone.

The webinar will feature five panelists from community organizations as well as two expert moderators from the health care and legal systems.

Registration is required, due to limited space, but anyone is able to join. Registration info can be found here, and upon registering guests will receive an email with joining info.

“I just wanted to give a big ‘thank you’ to our event volunteers, our community volunteers, and our Share ambassadors,” said Share Development Coordinator Stephanie Kolb, in a Facebook video last month. “We are so excited and thankful for everything you guys do for us at share to make us successful throughout the year.”

As always, Share will also be hosting its food drive that accompanies the event. This year there will be two locations and times to drop off food, while adhering to social distancing.

The first is Tue., June 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Share Fromhold Service Center,

2306 NE Andresen Road, and the second is Fri., June 5, from 9 a.m. to noon at Coldwell Banker Bain, 3425 SE 192nd Avenue, Suite 115.

At each location there will be blue bins marked for drop-off donations, and they will be located outside the buildings.
