Crowds flock to east county for the 2019 Camas Days

Annual event takes place under sunny skies and seemingly perfect conditions

CAMAS — It was truly a Chamber of Commerce weekend in Camas.

The 2019 Camas Days celebration took place Thursday through Sunday in downtown Camas under near-perfect weather and sunny skies. The annual event, organized by the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce, drew large crowds to a bevy of activities spread out over the four days.

The theme of this year’s celebration was “Candyland.’’ The 2019 Camas Days king and queen, Chuck and Barbara Carpenter, were honored in Saturday’s Grand Parade.

Other activities throughout the weekend included live entertainment, street vendors, the spirited bathtub races and various activities for children.

The 2019 Camas Days celebration culminated on Sunday with Picnic in Color, a free family arts and crafts event that took place in downtown Camas.
