The Kearney Breast Center is scheduling the free exams for two Saturdays in October
VANCOUVER — The Kearney Breast Center at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is offering two free breast health screening events for uninsured women next month.
The first will be held Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., and the second will be Saturday Oct. 24 during the same hours.
Both free screening events will be at the Kearney Breast Center, which is located on the PeaceHealth Southwest campus at 200 NE Mother Joseph Place, Suite 420.
Annual mammograms are a key to the early detection and treatment of breast cancer, but can be difficult for people without insurance to obtain.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, anyone interested in obtaining a free screening should pre-enroll and schedule an appointment during one of the two sessions next month.
To do so, call 360-514-1663 (choose option 1 or 2). Interpreters will be available, or you can call 1-888-202-3301 for language assistance.
The Kearney Breast Center team is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the free screening event, in collaboration with the Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program, which serves the uninsured and underinsured population across southwest Washington.
