Race for Warmth 10K Run and 5K Walk/Run

RACE FOR WARMTH 10K RUN AND 5K WALK/RUN TO BENEFIT CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES’ OPERATION WARM HEART

 

WHAT:            Sixth annual Race for Warmth to support Operation Warm Heart, a Clark Public Utilities customer-funded program that helps families in financial crisis pay heating bills. The event raises awareness for Operation Warm Heart and all proceeds go to support our neighbors in need. The timed 10k run and 5k walk/run start and finish at the Clark Public Utilities downtown location. A free race for children ages 3-8 years old kicks-off the event, registration required.

 

WHEN:           Jan. 26, 2020. Kids race begins at 8:30 a.m. All other events to follow.

COST:            Registration is $30 and includes a long-sleeve performance shirt and race bag.

                        Pre-registration is recommended and available online through January 25, 2020 at www.raceforwarmth.com. Same-day registration begins at 7 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and        costs $40, note that a shirt and race bag will not be guaranteed.

 

DETAILS:       The Race for Warmth is produced and hosted by Clark Public Utilities with support from local businesses, including Area Heating & Cooling, New Tradition Homes, McCords Vancouver Toyota, Burgerville, Columbia Credit Union, NW Natural, 811 Call Before You Dig, NW Personal Training, WHY Racing, Sprint Wireless, Chuck’s Produce, Identify Advertising, Franz Bakery, Heathen Brewing Feral Public House, WPUDA, Active Telesource, Royal restrooms, Corwin Beverage and CRESA.

 

Top finishing men and women of each race will be awarded medals at the onsite party at Clark Public Utilities with food and beverages provided by event partners, and invited to Heathen Brewing Feral Public House after for a free beverage for registered participants after the race.

Operation Warm Heart has provided more than $3.6 million to nearly 14,000 customers in financial crisis since its creation in 1985. The donor-funded program helps people in need who may not qualify for other government programs.
