Battle of the Bands entries due by May 20
RIDGEFIELD, WA. (April 23, 2019) – Clark County is hosting its inaugural “Clark County 4th at the Fairgrounds” in partnership with ilani. This community-centered 4th of July event will host thousands of people from within and around the area. A jam-packed evening offers over five hours of fun, food and games for the whole family, including the Battle of the Bands, the Activity Zone, the beer and wine garden, and the spectacular firework display. Admission is free and parking is $6 per vehicle
Call for entries: Battle of the Bands
The Battle of the Bands will take place in the Clark County Fairgrounds Grandstand. To be considered for the battle, aspiring contestants must provide three references from prior performances, names of band members, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and a 3-5 minute video recording to Clarkcounty4th@gmail.com by Monday, May 20 .
The eight-band battle will begin at 5:45 p.m. and conclude preceding the breathtaking firework display at approximately 10 p.m. With $2,500 in prize money up for grabs, bands must bring their sharpest performance to be considered among the top four groups. The third- and fourth-place bands will be awarded $250 each, and the runner up will receive $500. First place will win not only $1,500, but also performance opportunities at the 2019 Clark County Fair and ilani’s Muze Lounge. Extend 4th of July festivities
Along with this awesome evening filled with great fun, food, drinks and the Battle of the Bands, Independence Day revelers are encouraged to commemorate the holiday at other local celebrations. Attractions before the event-filled evening begins include the Ridgefield 4th of July Celebration and Parade in downtown Ridgefield (www.ridgefield4th.com) and the U.S. Military All Stars baseball team playing at the brand-new Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex (www.rorc.info).
