Free Orientation to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

FREE Orientation to the evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) series. The course runs for 8 weeks, Sundays, 2:00 – 4:30 PM starting January 27 in Vancouver WA, or Monday evenings, starting January 28, 6:30 – 9:00 PM in, Portland OR. The course will be held at Vancouver Yoga Center or Harmony Yoga Portland. All-day retreat Saturday March 9. Register here
Why Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)?
The 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) series teaches you to access and cultivate your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself to find greater balance, ease, and peace of mind. MBSR is highly respected within the medical community and offered as a complement to traditional medical and psychological treatments, not as a replacement. It is proven to be effective in treating such conditions as:
Anxiety & Panic Attacks
Gastro-intestinal (GI) Distress
Work, Family, and Financial Stress
High Blood Pressure
Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD)
Cost: Sliding scale $395 – $450. Payment at the higher end supports scholarship for those who cannot afford the lower end. Some partial scholarships available, so please inquire if there are financial barriers.
