5:30PM: Opening Celebration at Sportsman’s Steakhouse & Saloon
with raffles, Birdfest themed beverages and a taco bar.
SATURDAY
Bluegrass and Festival Day
10-4PM – Festival @ Overlook Park|
Opening ceremony with Traveling Day Society, Farmer’s Market and Birdfest Vendors & Bluegrass Pickers
10-4PM – Family Zone Activities @ Overlook Park
Make and play bluegrass instruments, make a birdfeeder and nature journal, bird & wildlife inspired games and crafts, scavenger hunts
11-4PM – Wine Garden @ Overlook Park
with Windy Hills Winery & Spudder’s Crest Wines
10-5PM – Birder’s Marketplace @ Ridgefield Community Center
25+ artisans with nature inspired items for sale
10:30 and 1:30 – Kayak Tours @ Ridgefield Kayak (Public Boat Launch)

Paddle 14-passenger 29′ canoes along Lake River, guided by Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership
ALL DAY – BLUEGRASS PICKER’S FESTIVAL @ VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND TOWN.
And, lots of activities on the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.
SUNDAY
No bluegrass, no in-town events.
Activities on the Refuge include Chinook Village archeology walk, community booths, crane tours and a closing ceremony/Salmon Bake at the Cathlapotle House.
