ABOUT THE PLAY
The text will be edited and the aesthetic and location will be a college campus. The “King” of the top fraternity of Navarre University and his two “friends” are setting themselves up for studying when they cross paths with the Princess of the French club and her two friends, during rush week. Epic dance battles ensue. Joining the lovers is a gallantly goofy troupe of clowns, including professors, campus security, and people that just can’t let go of their epic college glory days. This giddy and extravagant romantic comedy is Shakespeare’s most exuberant wordfest – a joyful carnival of love, loss, and hope.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
As always, our summer Shakespeare tour is set to educate, inspire, and entertain. We will be casting half teens and half adults. Rehearsal days will be Fridays 6-9P, Saturdays 3-9P and Sundays 7-9P beginning April 16th. The tour travels to four locations in and around the Vancouver, WA area.. Please be familiar with our COVID-19 safety practices and protocols. The production will be performed live, outdoors with socially distanced audiences.
THE AUDITION PROCESS
Please prepare a 1 to 2 min comedic monologue preferably from the renaissance era. Auditions are April 16th from 6-9pm with callbacks on April 17th beginning at 3pm. “We are aggressively seeking to cast a diverse company. We welcome actors of all cultures, genders, persons with disabilities and non-disabled.” All actors are volunteers. There is no pay.
