3rd Annual Clark County ASL & Deaf Pride Day

The third annual Clark County American Sign Language (ASL) & Deaf Pride Day parade takes place on Saturday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Washington School for the Deaf – on the corner of Evergreen and Grand Blvd.
This family-friendly parade starts at the Washington School for the Deaf, then down Evergreen Blvd. to the gazebo at Esther Short Park. Once there a presentation, in ASL, on how the first deaf school and sign language came to the United States, a summary of deaf history, how deaf Americans have made contributions to making America great, sharing of deaf poetry and stories passed down for generations, remembrance of deaf individuals that we lost in the past year, and each person is welcome to share their own #WhyISign.
Come with your pre-made signs by 10:30 a.m. and enjoy free coffee generously donated by Paper Tiger Coffee Roasters! Come take part in this deaf-positive parade!
