County seeks applicants for Clean Water Commission

The advisory group makes recommendations to the County Council about services, policies and financing needed to meet federal and state requirements for water quality and stormwater management improvements

VANCOUVER – Clark County is seeking applicants to fill one open position on the Clean Water Commission. 

Terms for the open positions begin January 2022 and end December 2024.

The nine-member advisory group makes recommendations to the Clark County Council about services, policies and financing needed to meet federal and state requirements for water quality and stormwater management improvements. 

Applicants can live anywhere in Clark County. Unincorporated residents and people with analytical skills and/or experience with environmental issues are encouraged to apply. 

The commission meets 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of every other month, beginning in January. Currently, public meetings are being held via WebEx video conferencing. Once in-person public meetings resume, they will be held in conference room 698 in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin Street. 

Interested residents must submit a letter and résumé to Justin Maynard, Clark County Clean Water Division, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or by email at cleanwater@clark.wa.gov. 

The application deadline is 12 p.m. Mon., Nov. 1, 2021.
