Increased DUI enforcement planned this weekend

VANCOUVER — This weekend, the Vancouver and Battle Ground Police Departments will have additional officers enforcing DUI laws in an effort to keep drunk, drugged and high drivers off the road. Officers, who are also drug recognition experts, will be among those conducting these increased DUI patrols.

Thanks to a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, law enforcement agencies in southwest Washington will have additional officers conducting DUI enforcement throughout the year to help keep our roadways safer.

If you or someone you care about is attending a party, and may also be consuming intoxicants, make sure to select a designated sober driver in advance, call a sober friend, or use a car service instead of getting behind the wheel impaired.
