Hockinson Hawks had their season come to an end with a 35-12 loss to Black Hills

Hockinson was attempting to make a run into the state Class 2A football playoffs for the third consecutive year but the Hawks had their season come to an end with a 35-12 loss to Black Hills in a crossover playoff game played Saturday at Battle Ground High School’s District Stadium.

Hockinson joined fellow Greater St. Helens League foes Columbia River and Washougal in the postseason. Washougal was eliminated from the playoffs Saturday with a 44-0 loss at Tumwater. Columbia River’s season came to an end at the hands of W.F. West by the score of 7-6 in a game played Friday at Kiggins Bowl.
