Week 2: Charles Wright Academy 22, Seton Catholic 13

Week 3: Seton Catholic 39, Nestucca (Ore.) 25

Next: Seton Catholic at Elma, 7 p.m. Friday

Seton Catholic scored three quick touchdowns and never trailed while improving to 2-1. Nestucca would come back with the next two touchdowns, but the Cougars did not panic. Instead, they went back to work on offense. Didn’t get a chance to watch this one, but here are a few notes from coach Will Ephraim:

MVP on offense: Tyvauntae Deloney rushed for 136 yards and threw for 104.

MVP on defense: Bobby Voitik had four tackles and an assist. One of was a tackle-for-loss.

Thoughts on Week 4 vs. Elma: “Big, aggressive team,’’ Ephraim said. “We have to stay disciplined and tough to make it through.”
